35 ACi Deluxe Battery Backup System

Dual Pump Battery Backup AC System

  • Two 1/3 HP sump pumps with stainless steel and cast iron construction. Engineered for primary and battery backup with steady AC power using household or auxiliary supply.

  • Alternates pump runs with continued availability during power loss. Redundancies in pumping and level sensing further offsets possible disruption from irregularities.

  • Advanced battery backup converts stored DC power (using one 12-volt AGM battery, available separately) into AC power for supplying emergency pump runs during outages.

  • Rated at 53 GPM pumping capacity (at 10' of head). Preserves peak performance without gradual loss while continuing to operate from either AC electric supply source.

  • The included Ion Genesis monitors pumping and application conditions with real-time alarm availability. Controls and alternates pumps without moving parts or contact points.

Overview

The Ion 35ACi Deluxe is an advanced dual sump pump system with both primary and advanced battery backup capabilities. The system features two identical 1/3 HP stainless steel and cast iron sump pumps engineered for automatic alternation each cycle during operation as a regular, everyday primary or during power outages via battery backup.

Rated at 53 GPM of pumping capacity (at 10 feet of total dynamic head), the 120 volt system pumps runs on standard AC electricity from one of two power sources. In absence of utility power supply, an individual pump runs on emergency AC power converted from deep cycle battery (one 12-volt Power+ AGM recommended, separate purchase). While conventional DC backup systems gradually pump less water the longer an outage continues, the Ion 30ACi Deluxe maintains peak pumping capacity while operating to meet or exceed demand.

When connected to utility power supply, the durable cast iron high-capacity pumps are available for operating as alternating primaries. The system is designed to only consume battery in absence of main supply via utility power. By avoiding unnecessary depletion, the battery stays at 100 percent for whenever the next outage may occur.

Further enhancing pump reliability is the solid-state digital level sensing equipped with the Ion Genesis controller, which comes standard with the Ion 35ACi Deluxe. The stationary level sensing operates without moving parts and contact points, and comes integrated with a high water alarm. Its proprietary solid-state sensing technology, first introduced with the original Ion Switch in 2010, has become the proven replacement for mechanical switches commonly attributed to pump failures and unnecessary flooding.
