Sump Pumps
Sump pump sizing involves matching the motor power (HP) and flow rate (GPM) to your basement's water inflow, typically requiring a 1/3 HP pump for average homes and 1/2 to 3/4 HP for high-flow conditions. Proper sizing ensures efficient operation, typically requiring a minimum 24-inch deep by 18-inch wide basin to prevent rapid cycling.
Backup Systems
Backup system sizing depends on the required flow rate (GPM), vertical lift, and desired runtime. Key options include the Eco ACi+ (up to 35 GPM) for efficiency, 30AC/35AC series (45-55 GPM) for moderate flows, and 55AC series (65 GPM) for high-flow, with runtimes ranging from 15 to over 47 hours depending on battery capacity.
Sizing by Flow Rate (10' Vertical Lift)
- Up to 45 GPM: 30AC Series Sump Pump Backup System.
- Up to 55 GPM: 35AC Series Sump Pump Backup System.
- Up to 65 GPM: 55AC Series Sump Pump Backup System.
- Up to 75 GPM: Sumpro Sump Pump Backup System.
Estimated Runtimes (Two 120 AH Batteries, 10% Duty Cycle)
- 1/3 HP Pump (WC33): ~47 hours.
- 1/2 HP Pump (BA50): ~30 hours.
- 3/4 HP Pump (BA75): ~15 hours.
